Fun Children's apron

This was a fun piece to make.  I used a vintage table cloth and linens.   I had to make my own bias tape and I am pretty happy with the results.

Sweet Pink

This sweet little dress was made using vintage linen table cloth and a linen hand towel. I have not sewn a dress for a little one in some time, it brought back memories of my little girls.

I love these magazines. I highly recommend Stuffed to anyone who loves stuffed animals. Never sewed no problem they will give you hundreds of easy fun ideas. I am addicted.

New shirt for me!!!!!!

I haven't sewed anything with a pattern in a long time and now I remember why.  They are a pain in the ass at times.  But I survived and I think I made the necessary changes to it I will use it in the future again. The pockets are my favorite part.  I used recycled fabric from my daughters old shirt.

A Little halloween fun!

My sister encouraged me to go to the dark side, this was a close as dark I could get for now but I love it. It kind of reminds me of my daughters when they were little and they had a cat. That poor cat never had a chance.  The piece is full of vintage finds, and I waxed over the top of it.

A friend requested a bible cover.  I had alot of fun with this one, especially the fabric.  I stamped the owl and leafs.

A BOX FULL OF LOVE

i LOVE PUTTING ALL THE FUN STUFF IN A BOX FOR MY SISTER. tHE BEST PART IS ADDING RIBBONS AND EMBELLISHMENTS. i FOUND A GREAT aRT nOUVEAU DESIGN AND aRTHUR rACKHAM BOOK. i HAVE ALSO PACKED UP A FEW VINTAGE vERA DESIGN LINENS, AND VINTAGE vOGUE PATTERNS. a FEW OTHER FUN ITEMS.

chunk (junk) jewelry revealed

I used an old gold belt and added junk jewelry using jump rings. I need to purchase gold clasps. I find it unbelieve in all that junk I did not find one. I have not decide if I will keep it or take to the thrift store. I suppose I could wear it and see if it is me.

Help me I am addicted to vintage

I found this great vintage wedding cake topper at To Every Nation Thrift store and I had to take it home. What I will do with it I am unsure all I know is I could not leave without it. I also found the great crown pin. It is a great place to volunteer at it is like treasure hunting.

Kinder Egg toys

I came accross a bag of Kinderegg toys at the thriftstore boy was I excited. I lived in Germany and they were so fun to collect. I am going to try and drill throught them and make some jewelry with them, we will see how that goes.

New life for an old Fossil watchband

I loved this old leather watch band I picked up at To Every Nation Thrift Store.  I knew it would make a great cuff. I removed the watch and added some vintage jewelry pieces and it is ready to wear tommorrow.

My sister says it is so sweet her teeth hurt!

I have not been hiding!

It has been way too long to make a post.  I have been busy hanging out with my husband while he is home.  But he has once again left.  We had a great trip to Michigain to pack up my mother in laws household and move it to Florida .  While there Dennis treated me to a trip to Mackinac Isand one of my favorite places.  We rented bikes, a horse and carriage and of course had a great meal.  Thanks babe I love you

Book cover madness

I had a lot of fun making these book covers.  Lots of bits and pieces of fabric I have had stashed away.  To the thrift store they go.  Hope someone likes them.  

Sweet purse for a sweet girl!

A sweet young lady bought a purse I made for the thrift store a couple months ago and requested another for her sweet friend's birthday.  I hope she likes it.  This one is made out of almost all recycled fabrics and scraps. 

New Life for old lamps

I took these lamps home from the thrift store I was inspired to added some modern touches.  I struggled taking them apart but I did it YEAH, next came high gloss sliver paint for the bottom and hardware and high gloss black for the main body.  I was so proud to get them back together again.  I will bring them back to the store and we will see if they go home soon.

Lady Bug love

My sister Gail inspired me to use my scrap fabric to make patch work  pieces.  It is just plain fun, no thought just sew.  The bag went to the thrift store I volunteer at,  hopefully it will make someone happy.
